The Housing & Development Board (HDB) has awarded Keppel the chilled water supply contract to design, build, own and operate Centralised Cooling Systems (CCS) at three upcoming Build-to-Order (BTO) projects Brickland Weave, Plantation Edge I & II and Plantation Verge in Tengah. Instead of using conventional split unit systems, Keppel aggregates cooling demand and uses more energy efficient industrial grade chilled water systems to generate cooling for residents. This enables residents to be a part of the National Green Plan, reducing energy consumption and minimizing environmental impact while benefiting from cost savings, thus establishing a new standard for sustainable living.
